"Perfect specimens of grand pop as great medicine"
David Fricke - Mojo / Rolling Stone

2-CD's of Roy Wood Wizardry! Includes 3 smash-hit singles, solo material, rare b-sides & 12" mixes, choice album cuts plus 9 PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS!

Remastered from recently discovered and restored original master tapes by Tim Burrell at Town House Studios (Roy Wood 'Outstanding Performer', 'Clog Dance - The Very Best Of Violinski'), this value-packed album is the perfect introduction to Roy Wood's solo & Wizzard career. A lavishly illustrated 12-page full-colour booklet by Mainartery Design (SonyBMG ELO Reissue Series) featuring rare photos, memorabilia and in-depth sleeve notes by Rob Caiger (ELO & Move archivist) make this a superb compilation for all fans of Roy Wood, Wizzard, The Move & ELO.

Previously unreleased tracks include 'Human Cannonball' (from the 'Main Street' / 'Wizzo' album sessions), 'Oh What A Shame' (a revealing, alternate early mix), '1-2-3' (an early mix featuring Roy's original guitar solo, replaced by a sax solo on the released version), a radio jingle composed exclusively for Kenny Everett, and more, including live versions of 4 Top 20 singles!

Ivor Novello Award winner Roy Wood's monumental career now spans 40 years & over 30 hit singles, including No.1 hits with 3 different bands plus the eternal classic, 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday'. One of the UK's most important & influential songwriters, Roy co-founded both The Move & Electric Light Orchestra before continuing his successful hit-making career as a solo artist and with the colourful rock 'n' roll ensemble, Wizzard.

Remastered and compiled in conjunction with Roy Wood, this excellent collection begins Sanctuary's forthcoming Roy Wood & Wizzard Definitive Album Reissue Series and further announcements will follow soon!
