It is now 10 years since Carl Wayne decided that something ought to be done to preserve The Move's recorded legacy. From that moment in October 1998, a remarkable effort has been undertaken to seek out original master tapes, live recordings, session multitracks, photos & memorabilia from all over the world. Sadly, Carl was unable to see the restoration of The Move's catalogue in the UK or the release of THE MOVE ANTHOLOGY 1966-1972, a 4-CD boxset & the sovereign set in Salvo/Fly's programme of 40th anniversary reissues.

Respectfully dedicated to the memory of Carl Wayne, The Move's talented & well-loved frontman & lead singer, 'The Move Anthology 1966 - 1972' will clearly show why the band were one of the finest to have emerged from the UK. Superbly remastered with 4-CD's full of classic hit singles, b-sides, choice album cuts, a wealth of previously unreleased material including never-before-heard songs, demos, alternate takes & live recordings from 1966-72, this is the ULTIMATE Move collection!

Full preview in the Anthology section with additional features and rare photos expanding the boxset sleeve notes.

"…it reminds the listener of just how great The Move were and how, for a few seasons, they alchemised chaos into pure gold." JON SAVAGE, MOJO - 4 stars ****

"This terrific 4CD set includes all the hits, explosive live cuts and rarities. Tremendous!" DAILY MIRROR - 4 stars ****

"The four-CD Anthology 1966 - 1972 plots the rise and fall of The Move better than any previous collection, mainly due to the wealth of previously unreleased material - nearly half of its tracks…" HUGH FIELDER, CLASSIC ROCK - 8 out 10

"…The Move are rightly celebrated by this sprawling four-CD boxed set… but it is the rarities - demos, rejected songs, alternate takes and live tracks - that will delight collectors here." MUSIC WEEK

THE MOVE ANTHOLOGY 1966 - 1972 IS AVAILABLE NOW. ALL ORDERS WILL RECEIVE ADDITIONAL MOVE PROMO GOODIES - ALL AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE!

FLOWERS IN THE RAIN / MOVE (SALVOSV002) RED VINYL LIMITED EDITION

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who ordered the limited edition and contributed to Carl Wayne's Cancer Charity. As the single was very quickly over-subscribed, the fairest way we could think of allocating the limited edition was by ballot. Once all the singles were sent out - and because so many fans wanted to contribute to Carl's charity - a second pressing was scheduled. Unfortunately, this was held up due to delays on the remastered edition of 'Looking On' & now the boxset. Now the Anthology is set for release, the second pressing will be underway soon and an email sent confirming dispatch.

Thank you for your continued patience but if you have any further queries or require a refund, please email Rob Caiger at ftmusic@ftmusic.com as soon as possible.

NEW RELEASES

As the search for missing tapes continues, new releases being planned include a definitive Move best of 1-CD, BBC Sessions 2-CD, Live At The Fillmore West 1969 2-CD…
